Steven Spile, the senior partner of the firm, uses his extensive litigation, dispute resolution and transactional experience in a wide variety of areas. He was involved in the creation of the California Association of REALTORS® (“C. A. R.”) Strategic Defense Panel and is one of the handful of attorneys selected to serve on this Panel. Steve also supports C. A. R. and various REALTOR® Associations through his participation in a variety of committees and the C. A. R. Legal Affairs Forum. He is counsel for California Real Estate Technology Services (“CARETS”) and for the Burbank Association of REALTORS®. He is a certified Department of Real Estate instructor, and appears regularly as a guest lecturer throughout the State of California. He also has written/produced a number of risk management videos for the real estate industry. Steve is the chairperson for the Southland Regional Association of REALTORS® (“SRAR”) Risk Management Committee. He was also the 2010 recipient of the “SRAR Affiliate of the Year Award” for his contributions to the real estate brokerage industry. Steve, along with Shannon Jones, co-founded the California Real Estate Legal Alliance (“CRELA”) which provide state-wide risk management and legal services to members of the real estate profession.
Steve has had many articles published in a wide-variety of publications, including regular columns in real estate trade magazines. In addition, he assists members of the insurance industry and other businesses in designing and administering risk-management policies, reducing costs and improving efficiency. Toward this end, he has presented seminars for attorneys, insurance representatives and other professionals throughout the country. Steve is the Vice Chairperson for the Southern California Chapter of Professional Liability Underwriting Society (“PLUS”). In addition, he is the firm’s liaison to the Harmonie Group, an Invitation Only national network of elite and vetted defense law firms. He is an experienced mediator serving on various panels, and is the chairperson for the SRAR Mediation Program. He regularly mediates disputes involving real estate transactions.
Steve, a third generation Angelino, has a beautiful and loving family, which include his wife Quynh and their children Jared, A.J. and Juliet. Steve has a deep passion for SCUBA diving, sports, travel and the arts.
