Elizabeth (“Beth”) A. Kooyman serves in an Of Counsel to Spile, Leff & Goor. Beth, who is licensed in both California and Iowa, has been practicing for over thirty years. The main focus of her practice is defense litigation in the areas of products liability, personal injury, business litigation, construction litigation, and professional liability. More specifically, she has defended manufacturers and distributors of consumer products and heavy machinery, including manufacturers of cars and trucks. She has defended numerous commercial businesses and religious institutions in personal injury, employment and construction matters. She has also defended various professionals in connection with professional liability claims. Beth represents clients throughout Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura and Orange Counties. She is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of California, and the United States District Courts, Northern, Eastern and Central Districts of California. She is also a member of the Iowa State Bar Association. Beth completed her undergraduate work at Drake University before graduating from the Law School at Drake in 1984. After law school, Ms. Kooyman served as a judicial clerk for the District Court of Iowa in Polk County. Thereafter, she moved to Los Angeles where she focused on civil litigation. She has worked as a litigator for her entire career. In her free time, Beth enjoys the outdoors, in particular gardening. She also has a deep fondness for animals, in particular her two dogs, Izzy and Charlie.
